This week I was allowed to pay a visit to one of our Leading Spa Resorts. This time my trip took me to Tyrol, more precisely to the Alpin Spa Hotel Tuxerhof in Tux. I was already at the Tuxerhof in 2018, but at that time a major renovation was taking place, which is why I couldn't see much of the hotel. The entire main building was rebuilt, including a new sunset relaxation pool on the roof of the house. The hotel pictures, which I looked at in advance, inspired me.
So I set off full of anticipation. After a 4-hour drive, I was very happy when the Tux sign appeared in front of me and shortly afterwards the navigation system said: “You have reached your destination!” In the middle of the charming village center, only 150 meters from the Rastkogelbahn, is the Tuxerhof in a perfect and sunny location. When I entered the reception, the nice lady at the reception was smiling at me. I should make myself comfortable in the lobby until Ms. Fankhauser - who is responsible for marketing at the house - has time for me. And you can really make yourself comfortable - in the newly designed entrance area of the Tuxerhof! The tasteful furnishings, the warm colors and the attention to detail immediately spread a sense of wellbeing. When Ms. Fankhauser came, we switched to the “fire lounge” to chat over coffee. A crackling fireplace, comfortable upholstered furniture and an extremely cozy atmosphere invite you to linger. During our conversation, Ms. Fankhauser told me a lot about the history of the Tuxerhof. We talked about current offers and the highlights of the house. I was able to learn many interesting details. Then Mrs. Fankhauser showed me around the house.
We started in the restaurant. It is equipped with four different rooms, which were named after the hotel daughters of the hosts of the Schneeberger family. Each room is individually furnished with loving details. It went on to the kitchen of the Tuxerhof. This was also completely renewed and modernized in 2018. The kitchen team around head chef Maik bring the "wow factor" to the plate for the guests every day. Regionality, fresh products and the art of preparation come first here.
With the HimmelREICH elevator we went on to the top floor of the Tuxerhof. The Himmelreich is a beautiful and tastefully designed relaxation lounge. Read a book by the open fireplace, cuddle, chat, play a game of chess ... all of this is possible here on 300 square meters. The large panorama windows open up a view of the Tux mountains. A light-flooded yoga and meditation room is also located on the fourth floor of the house. And last but not least, Ms. Fankhauser showed me another highlight - the sunset relaxation pool on the roof. It is 15 x 5 meters and heated all year round at a pleasant 32 degrees. Only the sky and the mountains are reflected in the crystal clear water. Just a dream!
The Tuxerhof has 54 individually designed rooms and suites in the house. Each with its own personality, but all with high-quality materials and lots of charm. On that day I was allowed to see the relaxation suite “Panorama”. This spacious suite, designed in the alpine look, offers an enlarged bed, a beautiful oak floor, a comfortable corner couch by a romantic LED fireplace with a wonderful panoramic view, a marble bathroom with a free-standing romantic bathtub and a double washbasin. So this suite could definitely meet my personal taste. But with such an individual room selection, everyone is sure to find their perfect room to feel good.
Next we went to the 2,200 square meter relaxation world. And this more than lives up to its name. The wellness oasis with five pools and six themed saunas leaves nothing to be desired. 4 relaxation rooms invite you to relax after the sauna. A cozy atmosphere is created by a lot of wood and subdued lighting. In the large indoor pool, the younger guests can splash around and romp around. One of the total of six saunas is located outside the house, namely the stone pine outdoor sauna. In addition, a 36 degree warm relaxation pool and a spacious sunbathing area invite you to linger and enjoy. This pretty garden can be easily reached by lift from the indoor sauna world.
We continued with Ms. Fankhauser in the Spielreich. Equipped with a labyrinth and ball pit, a kids lounge for chilling out and table tennis and table football, this area makes children's hearts beat faster. For a little time for two, the children are lovingly looked after here in the KidsClub.
After we had finished the tour, I was able to end the day perfectly in the fire lounge and review the many impressions.
